Privacy policy

At CutMate we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. By using CutMate (the website, the Adobe Premiere Pro plugin, and the associated services — collectively, the Service), you accept the practices described here.

1. Who we are

2. What information we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

• Account data: name, email, password (bcrypt hashed), preferred language.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe — we don't store or see card numbers. We only keep the Stripe customer id and subscription status.
• Project content: audio and video you submit to the plugin for transcription, auto-cuts, caption generation, translation, and other editing features.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

• Plugin session data: Premiere version, operating system, device label, approximate IP — used for your "Active sessions" panel and the per-plan device cap.
• Minimal telemetry: anonymized error and product events to improve stability. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

• Provide and operate the Service.
• Process payments and manage your subscription (via Stripe).
• Send transactional emails as needed (verification, password reset, receipts, plan change notices).
• Send marketing emails only if you explicitly subscribed to the newsletter — you can unsubscribe anytime from the footer of every email.
• Improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized telemetry.

We do not use your project content (audio, video, transcripts) to train our own models or third-party models.

5. Retention and deletion

The audio and video you submit for processing is stored only as long as needed to complete the request, then deleted. We do not keep persistent copies of your material.

Account data (email, name, subscription) is kept while your account is active. If you delete it, we erase associated personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records by legal or accounting obligation (e.g. payment records).

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information: TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, bcrypt-hashed passwords, team access controls based on least privilege. No system is 100% impenetrable; if we detect a security incident that affects you, we'll notify you by email within the timeframes required by applicable law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (Mexico, EU, certain US states such as California), you have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Receive a portable copy of your data.
• Object to processing for marketing purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@shopiaura.com from the address linked to your account. We respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

CutMate uses cookies strictly necessary for the session (login, language) and, optionally, anonymous analytics cookies. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or share data with ad networks.

9. Minors

CutMate is not directed at people under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone in that age range. If you believe a minor sent us data, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material (for example, a new subprocessor with access to project content), we'll notify you by email or via a visible in-app notice before they take effect.
